1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address when you register. If you sign up with Google, we also receive your Google profile name and picture.
• Information you provide: the guitar or bass gear you select, songs you search, and any feedback you submit.
• Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type, device, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it running and improve it.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide the Service, generate and save your tone settings, manage your subscription, respond to feedback, send account-related emails, and improve Tonafy. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-party services we use

We share information only as needed with these providers, who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and data storage
• Stripe — payment processing and subscriptions (your card details are handled solely by Stripe)
• Anthropic and Tavily — to research and generate tone settings (your song and gear selections are sent to these services to produce results)
• Spotify — song search and track information
• Resend — sending account and notification emails
• Vercel — website hosting

We encourage you to review each provider's own privacy policy.

4. How we protect your information

We use industry-standard measures including encryption and secure authentication. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, or compliance reasons (for example, payment records).

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information, and request that we stop using it, by contacting support@tonafy.com. Under the Australian Privacy Act and other applicable laws, you may have additional rights, including lodging a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

7. Children

Tonafy is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

We may update this policy. We'll post changes here and update the date above.
